- What types of clothing do you alter?

We alter almost any type of garment by any brand or designer! This includes: suits, sportcoats, jeans, pants of all types, hoodies, raincoats, winter coats, dress shirts, blouses, t-shirts, day dresses, evening gowns, prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses and wedding dresses. We also alter garments other tailors often deny, including leather apparel, swimsuits and costumes. We have experience working with all types of fabric from delicate silk and spandex knits to heavy leather and denim.
- Do you alter men's or women's clothing?

We alter clothing for all genders, ages and identities. We have years of experience tailoring everything from high-end men's suiting and women's evening gowns to everyday unisex garments like t-shirts and denim. We have also altered clothing for children and even dogs!
We believe clothing has no gender and we will happily alter traditional men's clothing to fit an assigned female at birth body or vice versa. Our goal at Stevie Leigh is to make whatever clothing you decide to wear fit exactly as you want it to fit. - How much do alterations cost?

Alterations are charged based on the work requested, such as hemming pants or taking in the sides of a dress. Our basic price list for our most common alterations can be found on our detailed alterations page Click here to view our price list.
- How long do alterations take to be completed?

Our usual turnaround for alterations is 2 weeks. During our busy season (Late Spring/Summer and holidays), alterations may take longer. Stevie Leigh will give you an estimated completion date during your tailor fitting.
- Do you take rush alteration orders?

Yes! We accept rush alteration orders most of the time. If we are currently not accepting rush orders, it will be noted when your appointment is made. Rush orders will be charged an additional fee of $15 or 15% total labor cost for 1 week rush or $20 or 20% total labor cost for less than 1 week.
- I don't live near your Lakewood, CO tailor shop, can you still alter my clothing?

Over the years Stevie has made custom suits, shirts, vests, dresses, hats, stage costumes for musicians and drag queens, winter coats, wedding dresses and even apparel for dogs both large and small! - How much does a custom designed garment cost?

The cost of custom designed clothing can vary greatly depending on the complexity of the design and material choice. Below is a general reference price range for various garments:
- Pants from $350-$500
- Shirts/blouses from $250-$500
- Button down dress shirts from $600-$850
- Sportcoats from $800-$2000
- Full suits $1,100-$3,000
- Gowns from $1,250-$4,000+
- Costumes $300-$2,500+
- How long does it take for a custom made garment to be completed?

Standard turnaround for custom design of a single garment is 4-8 weeks, standard turnaround subject to change during busy season (Late Spring/Summer and holidays). Rush orders (due date anything less than 4 weeks from initial consultation)are accommodated upon availability for additional fee of 15% total labor cost.

- Do you accept walk-ins?

No, appointments are required for all services at Stevie Leigh. This includes: tailor fittings, mending/drop off, measurements, order pickups and custom apparel design consultations. Book an appointment anytime online at ItsMeStevieLeigh.com/book.
- Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes, we offer virtual appointments (video calls through Zoom) for custom apparel design. Just make a note on the final page of the online appointment booking process that you would prefer a virtual appointment and we will send you a Zoom video call link 24 hours before your appointment.
- What are your hours?

Our hours can vary from week to week but our typical business hours are weekdays 9am-5pm MST/MDT. We are open until 6pm MST/MDT on Thursdays. We are closed most major holidays and do NOT have weekend availability. Please note: appointments are required for all services at Stevie Leigh, walk-ins are not accepted. - How long do fittings take?

Depending on the number of garments you bring in, fittings generally take between 10-30 minutes.
- Do you charge for appointments?

There is no fee for standard tailor fittings, mending/drop off appointments or bridal gown alteration appointments.
Custom apparel design and measurement appointments require a fixed prepaid deposit at the time of booking. This charge will go towards your final invoice. If you cancel your appointment through email (info@itsmestevieleigh.com) or text/call (774-701-0106) at least 12 hours before your appointment, your deposit will be refunded. The custom apparel design deposit will not be refunded if you attend the consultation appointment and then decide not to go through with your custom design order. - Can I bring in my moms wedding dress to be upcycled or redesigned?

Absolutely! We are passionate about upcycling apparel and love transforming sentimental garments like wedding gowns. We've used brides' mother's gowns to create modern wedding dresses, wedding suits, dressing robes, bridal veils and more! Learn more about the process here

The cost to upcycle and redesign a wedding dress can vary greatly depending on the construction of the original garment and complexity of the desired design. Brides typically spend between $400-$2,000 for total garment redesigns and $150-$350 for custom veils or accesories made from upcycled gowns.
